Ana Adams, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACT

Originally from Birmingham, AL, Dr. Adams moved with her family to Buenos Aires, Argentina in high school, where she also attended college and veterinary school, receiving her DVM in 1990. Post-graduate studies led her back to the deep south to Auburn University where she completed a residency and obtained her Master's Degree in THERIOGENOLOGY (animal reproduction). In 1994 she became board certified in theriogenology and after a few years in private practice, she opened Hamby Road Animal Hospital in 1998 where she has practiced for over 20 years. She currently lives with her husband and their 6 children in a noisy farmhouse in Cumming. She loves walking, hiking, talking on the phone, and getting a good laugh when all those teenagers at home make fun of her....

Jan Laketa, DVM

Dr. Jan (Laketa) grew up in a basketball family in the Chicago area.  After graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelors degree in clothing design she realized she didn't have a creative bone in her body and went on to vet school, graduating from Auburn University with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.  She was a veterinary technician for several years before vet school and has been practicing medicine for over 25 years.  She is married to Dr. David Shepherd who owns North Roswell Veterinary Clinic.  They have 2 children, Morgan and Quinn, who attend UGA and Kennesaw State University, 4 dogs and 7 cats.  She enjoys gardening, Auburn football, and attending continuing education courses.

alex bradley, dvm

Dr. Alex started working at Hamby in 2000 as a veterinary assistant which fostered her passion for the veterinary field. After graduating from Milton High School (the old one of course!) she went on to Auburn University where she obtained a degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences (War Eagle!). She then went on scholarship to veterinary school at St. George’s University, finishing her 4th year of veterinary school at the University of Florida in 2010. Dr. Alex joined the Hamby team as a veterinarian in 2012 after returning home from Nashville. Dr. Alex and her husband David have a houseful with two girls, Harper and Isla, 4 dogs, and three cats. Despite the requests of her daughters she does not have a rat...yet. In her free time, Dr. Alex enjoys playing tennis, home improvements and shopping at the new Kroger on Bethelview. She currently works Fridays and some Saturdays. She has enjoyed getting to know so many clients and pets over the years and looks forward to the continued relationships!

Dr. Bailey C. Wood was born and raised in the Atlanta area and couldn't wait to get back here after Vet School. She attended Auburn University for both her Bachelor's of Science in Zoology and her Master's of Science in Animal Behavior. She took her love of orange schools with crimson rivals to Oklahoma State where she attended veterinary school and graduated in 2012. Dr. Wood loves all aspects of preventative medicine and client communication. Being on the same page with owners about diagnosis and treatment are essential to her. She also loves dentistry and soft tissue surgery. In her free time, Dr. Wood loves spending time with her family- which grew by two feet in 2017 with sweet Rylie, watching movies, traveling with her husband, and of course cheering on her Auburn Tigers. her beloved fur kids include two cats: Bailey (yes, two Bailey's in one house), Cali (short for Caliente- a spicy personality), and 'The Boys'- Rowdi the Rottie and Moose the Mastiff.

Bob Stawicki, DVM, Diplomate, ACT

Dr. Bob is a board certified veterinary reproductive specialist with a strong interest in canine fertility and obstetrics, but he enjoys the opportunity to work with a wide range of general medicine and surgical cases as well. He attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, and worked in a private practice in the Gainesville, Florida area for six years before going back to school to complete his residency in reproductive medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bob then accepted a position at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where he served on faculty for four years. Although he loved teaching the next generation of veterinarians in the academic setting, Dr. Bob missed the direct interaction with his clients and patients that he was able to have in private practice, which brought him to Hamby Road in May of 2018. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, as well as hiking, camping and just generally spending time outdoors.
